Healing From Foods is a small women owned and operated health and wellness business in southern Vermont. It currently encompasses, retail products that the owners have used themselves first and fell in love with. Life partners and chefs Rebecca Dixon and Sarah Dal Balcon created Healing From Foods in March of 2018 after their relocation to New England area from northern California late 2017. This business is a new, expanded version of their previous herbal tea business in California. Healing From Foods stems from Sarah's journey of living with and healing from Crohn's disease and from Becca's own journey of healing. Sarah formulated their first tea blend, Happy Belly tea, to give her some relief from Crohn's disease symptoms like stomach aches and indigestion. Sarah shared this tea with friends and family and the feedback was so positive that her and Becca decided to produce the tea blend for the public. Becca and Sarah left California in search of a fresh start, to find somewhere that felt like home, and to find somewhere they could start a business that could incorporate all of their knowledge of farming, sustainable foods, self care, and healing. New England has proven to be this place for them as there are a surplus of organic farms and co-ops, and the health & wellness culture is alive and thriving. Becca and Sarah have a vision of building a sustainable business that supports the Earth and its inhabitants, they want to help build a better, more sustainable future for planet Earth and humanity.
