Ojoche Tostado - A naturally energizing caffeine-free mood enhancing superfood elixir.
What is it?
Ojoche is an ancient Mayan superfood seed that grows on the ojoche tree native to Central America. When roasted and steeped, ojoche seeds make a brew that naturally energizes you and gives you the vitamins, minerals and antioxidants your body needs to generate overall wellness. Ojoche Tostado is high in potassium, calcium, vitamin C, folate, iron, vitamin B6 and tryptophan. Ojoche is completely caffeine, allergen and toxin-free as stated by the FDA.
Sourcing and Support for rural Communities
This ojoche seed is sourced directly from women's collectives in Nicaragua who sustainably wild harvest and process all of the seeds. That means that purchasing ojoche directly supports rural communities and helps families build and grow. Each purchase of ojoche helps to provide education for children in rural areas, bring in food and clean water to people in need, and provide income for women and families.
How to Prepare: Add 1-2 TBS Mayan Moka Mix to 12oz of milk or dairy alternative of your choice. Mix well and let steep for 10 minutes, or even overnight. Drink straight or sweeten with maple syrup or honey. Delicious cold or heated up.
Ojoche is naturally very dense, so by nature it won't dissolve completely into your drink. You can drink it all by swirling the sediment into the liquid as you go, or if you prefer, you can pour off the liquid so you won't have any sediment. The sediment is great prebiotic fiber! If you do prefer to strain out the grounds, you can save them and add depth, richness and added nutrition to cooking or baking. Add to pancakes, cookies, cakes, brownies, and more!
